The Midwest may not be known as the hotbed of fashion or even the Bunsen burner of style, but there’s a surprising amount of style sensibility in these parts. And Omaha Fashion Week brings it all together and puts it on display: the designers, models, stylists, fashionistas and lookey-loos all come out to appreciate, gossip and gaps over all things Omaha fashion.

Last year’s first OFW was effing incredible. I have to admit that my inner snob prevailed and I only attended the runway show (which deserves it’s own post for it’s all-around fierceness). But this year, I’m getting out more. Besides the must-see runway finale, I am dying to attend Glam Style Night (Hair and makeup samples? Yes, please!) and Boutique Night (All my fav local boutiques in one place makes it so easy for this style lover who hates shopping.).

The style-palooza officially begins tomorrow, so if you are anywhere near Omaha in the next week, I command you get your sweet buns to at least one OFW shindig.

And for those of you who sadly cannot attend, do not fear! I most certainly will haves tons of thoughts and photos to share. Now, if I can just decide on what to wear…
