Monsters of Folk (well, two of them) take on creme brulee
Jim James has success with My Morning Jacket. M. Ward has cred as half of She & Him and a solo artist. The pair work are 2/5 of indie “supergroup” Monsters of Folk. But the pair alone has a new project: The Creme Bru-log.
That’s right, they’ve taken the 0.05% of their remaining free time and created a blog dedicated to creme brulee. It may seem random, but let’s face it, creme brulee is damn delicious. And professional musicians or not, I’m a fan of anyone dedicated to this delectable dessert enough to create a site dedicated to it. The rating system of “logs” is devine, given it’s proclamation of no finite limit to the logs any tasting can be awarded. Readers can award logs as well — or take them away if needed — until the end of time or the end of the internet.
I’ve sampled one of the current three tasting posts: the creme brulee at Dario’s in the Dundee neighborhood of Omaha, Neb. And I have to agree with M. Ward when he says it may be the best in the U.S.
I give this endeavor 29826209 logs.
