Making a house a home

Having a house of seems like the perfect blank canvas for letting your creativity run completely wild, right? It’s not that simple though. That blank canvas can be daunting; interior decorating can be expensive, time-consuming and, well, just plain big. You don’t want to spend hours of time and piles on money to hate the end result and have to do it all over again. My approach to avoid this pitfall is to find a thing — a color, piece of furniture, fabric, knick knack — that I love and really believes fits me. That’s my springboard to find what else makes that space alive with personality and a place that truly feels like home.

Here are some of the home pieces I am seriously lusting after:

1 – 1965 Couture laminate box, $49.95, Z Gallerie

2 – Gypsy chandelier, $158, Urban Outfitters

3 -Ordinal chest, $998, Anthropologie

4 – Voltaire side chair,$1095, 2bmod

5 – Manhattan sofa, $9600, Tonic Home
